Christmas In August director Hur Jin-ho returns with another highly anticipated romance, this one starring Bae Yong-joon and Son Ye-jin. The plot is as follows: In-su, a successful lighting director, suddenly receives an urgent phone call while working at a concert, and rushes off. He frantically heads to the emergency room to see his wife Su-jin, who has been injured in a serious car accident. But upon arriving, he is shocked to discover that Kyung-ho, the driver of the car she was in, and Su-jin were lovers. In the intensity of the moment, In-su, torn between feelings of love and hatred towards his wife, bitterly says, “You should’ve died in the accident”. At the hospital, he then meets Seo-young, who is Kyung-ho’s wife. The two, having unexpectedly been thrown together, share sympathy for each other and eventually share a special intimacy and fall in love.

‘Sympathy for Lady Vengeance’ & ‘April Snow’ to be the Talk of the Town

Cinema ‘Sympathy for Lady Vengeance’ starring Lee Young-ae and Movie ‘April Snow’ starring Bae Yong-joon, which are the talk of the town, are released on July 29 and on September 9 respectively.

First off, ‘Sympathy for Lady Vengeance’ is forecast to bring about synergy as the house’s expectation mentality toward director Park Chan-wook and actress Lee Young-ae and oversea film festival’s competition section inroads gear with each other.

An official responsible for this film’s distribution at CJ Entertainment said, “It is true that ‘Sympathy for Lady Vengeance’ bears the Venice Film Festival, one of the three largest film festivals in the world, in mind”.

‘Sympathy for Lady Vengeance’ will be the final film in Park’s thematically linked trilogy of revenge flicks that started with Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and continued with the massively acclaimed Old Boy.

Movie ‘April Snow’ starring Bae Yong-joon, which is propelling the film’s simultaneous release in Asia 10 countries on the forthcoming September, has already sold advance tickets over 20,000 tickets.

There has never been and never will be such a movie as simultaneous release in Asia 10 countries in Korean movie history, an official at this cinema’s production firm.

Movie ‘April Snow’ is dealing with a story in which the two man and woman who faced in a miserable reality of betrayal of love, indulge in more touching and dangerous love.

This cinema’s release in Japan and Taiwan was got through with a simultaneous release on September 9.

It is said that this film’s production firm has almost agreed to release on the same day with the rest 7 Asian countries.

The background that such a simultaneous release is possible, is of course thanks to ‘Yonsama boom’ blowing across Asia currently.
