Japanese Media Excited over Yonsama’s Upcoming Visit to Japan
The influential Japanese sports daily Sankei Sports reported on June 28 that actor Bae Yong-jun will visit Japan in August for the first time this year. The newspaper quoted UIP, the distributor of the movie “April Snow” in Japan, as saying that actress Son Ye-jin, who co-stars in the movie alongside Bae, told reporters about his visit at her latest press conference in Japan.
According to the report, Bae will visit Japan as the first leg of his Asian promotional tour for “April Snow” after he finishes promoting the movie in Korea. Bae’s visit to Japan comes nine months after his last official visit to that country in November of last year, when he traveled there to promote his photo album, and eight months after a private visit to Fukushima in December. Sankei Sports said the actor’s first visit to the country this year will “only add to the sweltering summer heat.”
The newspaper also reported extensively on Son’s visit to Japan on June 27, saying that 25 television cameras were present and over 250 journalists flocked to see Son. At the press conference, Son said it took nine hours to film a bedroom scene in the movie as she had a hard time expressing feelings with her body and working in tandem with Bae.
