“What made Bae Yong Joon Cry” … April Snow’s Emotional Filming
This is Bae Yong Joon’s real tears!
Bae Yong Jun’s real-tears performance was shown to the public on the 19th. The production company Blue Storm, responsible for filming ‘April Snow’ (Director Heo Jin-Ho) shared with the public Bae Yong Joon’s performance of ‘the scene of emotionally charged drunken state’, and revealed that the soju used during the filming scene was not merely a set item, but the real soju. “He drowned himself in soju and shed tears.” According to Bae Yong Joon’s close friends, his tolerance for alcohol is limited to about two to three glasses of wine. But in order to film this scene to make it real, he downed almost a bottle of soju and immersed himself in this acting. Hence, his passion for acting was enhanced by the effect of alcohol, allowing him to shed real tears of sorrow.
A concerned party of ‘April Snow’ stated that “even after Heo Jin-Ho director’s okay sign, Bae Yong Joon could not control the highly charged emotions and needed some time to regain control of himself.” This scene was shown at the ‘April Snow’ concert at Seoul’s Yonsei University last April as a part of the Special Making Film, and touched the hearts of many viewers.
’April Snow’ is about two people (Bae Yong Joon and Son Ye Jin) who find out their spouses were having an affair after their spouses are in an accident. These two characters then fall in an uncontrollable and passionate love. The much talked about ‘April Snow’ is scheduled to open at theaters on September 9th of this year.
