Taiwan hotel fully booked ahead of Korean actor’s visit
Fans have fully booked a hotel in the Taiwanese capital to coincide with the appearance of South Korean star Bae Yong-joon and thousands more are expected to flock to see him, Taiwanese news media reported Thursday.
Bae is scheduled to visit the island state for three days from Aug. 19 to promote his new film “April Snow.”
Fans have reserved all 130 rooms left at the Yuanshan Hotel, Taipei, for the two nights that he is scheduled to stay there, the media said.
About 4,000 fans of S. Korean star expected to gather in Taiwan
Some 4,000 fans of various Asian nationalities will gather in Taiwan to catch a glimpse of South Korean actor Bae Yong-joon when he visits the country to promote his new movie, according to a Taiwanese daily and the actor’s fan club here Wednesday.
The China Times said about 2,000 Asian fans will likely enter Taiwan for Bae’s Aug. 19 visit to the country. They will attend a promotional event for “April Snow” starring Bae and Son Ye-jin together with some 2,000 Taiwanese fans, according to Bae’s Taiwanese fan club.
