World Premiere of ‘April Snow’
About two thousand worldwide media and Asian movie industry parties are planning to attend the grand premiere of the movie, ‘April Snow’ (Oechul) starring Bae, Yongjoon and Son, Yaejin.
Few world premieres have been held that have invited such numerous foreign guests.
The producer of ‘April Snow’, Bluestorm, is expected to open the world premier at 2 o’clock in the Megabox at Samseong-dong, Seoul. Bluestorm previously sent letters of consent to 9 Asian film industries where ‘April Snow’ is to be simultaneously released (on August 4th), giving an apology for only being able to accommodate a limited number of guests, due to the difficulties involved in managing such a big event.
The event anticipates competition from the media, as mega-star, Bae, Yongjoon and newly rising actress, Son Yaejin, were available to the public at Samcheok, Gangwon-do Province during spring. Great numbers of Yongjoon’s Asian fans are also expected to seek him out after the premiere. Furthermore, approximately 2,000 fans are expected to flock to the scene, according to several Taiwanese media. Hence it is very likely that more than the expected number of fans will swarm to the scene.
A press conference will take place at the Grand Ball Room (rented by Bluestorm) in the Intercontinental Hotel in COEX, near Megabox. Also, a red carpet will be prepared to add to the enthusiasm. In case of any mishaps, there will be 50 security guards at the event.
‘April Snow’ featuring two congenial Hallyu partners, Bae, Yongjoon and Son, Yaejin, directed by Heo, Jinho (previously the director of ‘Christmas in August’ and ‘One Fine Spring Day’) will be released on September 8 near the time of Chuseok.
